Clamp top line post insulators are widely used for transmission line and distribusion line, which is one type line post insulator.  Clamp top is different from tie top composite insulators, for tie top line post insulator, the conductor or cable will be fixed on insulators by preformed tie or some types wires. But for clamp top insulator, the conductors or cable will be fixed directly on clamp.
