What is porcelain Disc insulator?

Porcelain disc insulator also can be called porcelain suspension insulator or suspension disc insulator. Porcelain disc insulator is the most popular used type of porcelain insulators. Since disc insualtor can be assembled one by one, which can constitute insualtor string suit for any voltage class, such as from 11kv to 1100kV. And for the fittings of disc insulator, normal used types are socket, ball, clevis and tongue. It can be constrituted by any both of these types.

ANSI standard disc Insulator types:

ANSI 52-1, ANSI 52-2, ANSI 52-3, ANSI 52-4, ANSI 52-5, ANSI 52-6, ANSI 52-8, ANSI 52-9A
